Clean the hair straightener
Using a soft piece of cloth moistened in warm water featuring some detergent, wipe the hair straightener so that you can remove built up of dirt, heat protectants, and hair sprays. Note that you should do this at least once per month. Moreover, it would help if you only did this once the straightener is in a cold state.
Store the dryer in a dry place
